Tomorrow, Saturday Nov 7: Turkey Collection Day — Plus Friday & Weekend Free Food in San Antonio

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 7, 2026 is Turkey Collection day — the first Food4SA Turkey Collection, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at H-E-B College Park, 7330 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78249. If you plan to give, tomorrow is the day. If your family needs food, do not wait for the weekend to thin out: 24 places serve on Fridays, today is the last weekday for the big Monday–Friday pantries, and 10 places serve on Saturdays — including two that only open on Saturday morning. Here is the whole weekend, in order.
Tomorrow, Saturday Nov 7: the Turkey Collection (10 AM–2 PM)
Food4SA is the San Antonio Food Bank's annual November campaign (Nov 1–30), and the Turkey Collection days are its public drop-off days: bring a frozen turkey — bought on the spot at H-E-B or from your own freezer run — or nonperishable food, and it goes toward a San Antonio family's holiday table.
- When: tomorrow, Saturday, November 7, 2026, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. It is a four-hour window — plan to arrive before 1:30 PM.
- Where: H-E-B College Park, 7330 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78249.
- One honest note: this is a drop-off for givers, not a pickup line — there is no turkey to collect tomorrow. The turkeys collected become the holiday distributions on our holiday meals page. Full background is in yesterday's post: the Nov 7 Turkey Collection guide.
- Can't make tomorrow? The collection repeats Saturday, November 14 at H-E-B Leon Springs (24165 I-10, Suite 300, San Antonio, TX 78257) and Sunday, November 22 at all area H-E-B Plus! stores.
Need food today? Friday, Nov 6 — 24 places serve on Fridays
Friday has its own stops — and a short window downtown you do not want to miss:
St. Henry Catholic Church Food Pantry — 1619 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204
The Friday pantry: Fridays 9:00 AM–12:00 PM (call to confirm hours before you go). If you need groceries this week, this morning is its only day.
Christian Assistance Ministry — Downtown Campus — 110 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78215 (210-223-4099)
Downtown CAM's Friday window is short: Friday 9:30–11:30 AM (Monday–Thursday it runs 9:30 AM–3:00 PM). Sack lunches at the same campus run 9:00–11:00 AM, Monday–Saturday — so that one is there tomorrow too.
Devine Food Pantry Ministry — 309 North Teel, Devine, TX 78016
Friday evening groceries 5:00–7:00 PM, shopping by appointment only — call to book ahead.
Today is also the last weekday for the Monday–Friday regulars until Monday: San Antonio Food Bank — Client Services — 5200 Historic Old Hwy 90, San Antonio, TX 78227, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (210-431-8326); Catholic Charities — Guadalupe Community Center — 1801 W Cesar E Chavez Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78207, drive-through 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (210-226-6178); Presa Community Center Emergency Food Pantry — 3721 S Presa St, San Antonio, TX 78210, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (210-532-5295); and Corazón Day Center (78215), hot lunch 12:00–1:00 PM Monday–Friday (210-238-5958) — so today's lunch is the last one there until Monday.
Hot meals today and every day: Faith Kitchen at Haven for Hope (78207) — breakfast 7:00–8:00 AM, lunch 11:30 AM–12:30 PM, dinner 5:00–6:00 PM, every day of the year (210-220-2100). Tonight, Communities Under the Bridge serves a hot dinner 6:00–7:00 PM, as it does every evening (210-569-4026). The full Friday list is on our free food on Friday page.
